[7-10 October 2016] 60 Hours of ATC

Recommended Posts

On October 7, BVA hosts 60 Hours of ATC for the first time on the VATSIM network. Together, our team of Center controllers will be staffing Boston Center for 60 straight hours, beginning at 11am ET on Friday, October 7 until 11:00pm ET on Sunday, October 10.

60 Hours of ATC offers pilots from around the world the opportunity to fly in our airspace any time, day or night. Alongside ZBW, expect to see a large volume of local control at KBOS and the other surrounding airports.

Stay tuned to this thread for upcoming details!

Thanks to everyone for giving us fantastic traffic so far! 38 hours complete with 22 to go!

Reminder that today (10/9) from 1900 ET (2300z) to 2300 ET (10/10 @ 0300z) we are teaming with Virtual New York ARTCC and hosting a BOS-JFK Crossfire to finish off the 60 Hours of ATC weekend.

We hope to see you all in the air!

Our 60 Hours of ATC event has concluded (although we are still online)! The Boston Virtual ARTCC Administration Team would like to recognize the controllers involved and thank them for their dedication throughout the weekend - it is truly extraordinary what we were able to accomplish and we would not have been able to do it without them. We'd also like to thank all pilots who flew into or out of our airspace during the 60 hours. You made the event fun and enjoyable for all, giving our controllers consistent traffic even during the overnight hours! Last but not least, thank you to our neighboring ARTCCs for the support throughout the weekend and to vZNY for teaming up with us for tonight's Crossfire.

Please take the time to send our controllers feedback so that we know how we did. Feedback can be sent via www.bvartcc.com/feedback

We look forward to next years 60 Hours of ATC event and wish you blue skies and happy landings until then.
