Position Posting – Virtual FBO Chief Flight Instructor - CLOSED

Purpose

The Boston Virtual ARTCC (BVA) is currently seeking a Virtual FBO Chief Flight Instructor who will provide compelling training capability and effective management and leadership of the BVA Pilot Ratings Program and Authorized Training Organization.

Key Accountabilities

• Reports to BVA Senior Administration (ATM, DATM, TA)

• Leads an adequate staff of FBO Coaches to meet pilot training needs

• Assigns pilot students to Virtual FBO Coaches and oversees pilot training

• Assists in maintaining PRP standards and training material

• Processes VATSIM pilot ratings through the PTD ATO management system

• Maintains a regular presence online and responds promptly to emails

• Performs other duties as assigned by ATM/DATM/TA

• Functions as a staff member and attends periodic meetings as necessary

Requirements

• P1, P3, P4, and P5 VATSIM Pilot Ratings, and has completed all flights within the Pilot Ratings Program

• An active pilot on the network in good standing with a clean history

• Capable of working well in team-oriented environment

• Strong knowledge of VATSIM ATC system

• Strong knowledge of BVA PRP program

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM)

• Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience

• Real world aviation/pilot experience
