  2. Both FlightDesk and FSX went down at of 19:45Z (Saturday, 2nd of June, 2012). TeamSpeak has stayed up, however. Keeps going up and down right now.
  3. Another note worthy... note. The Jeppesen chart states that the runway extension is only available for take-offs to the North.

  6. Thanks guys! Yeah, the HUD is pretty amazing, much more than the iFly. It's a lot easier flying single pilot IFR in a 737 when you have a HUD that works well. Oh, and at the event on Sunday I took a quick shot of Boston at the start. Seems like everyone did a BOS-JFK run.
  7. But was this because of the weather, because Boston was involved or even both? The community seems to love our Boston events (remember the Boston PP). Regardless, I had a great time finally using all of my New York stuff for once! :D Oh, and here are some shots of me landing in KEWR before we updated to custom weather.
  8. Didn't we cancel the HTC after two attempts? The latter of which was plagued by the problems with the e-mail and website which, had they not been problems during the lead up to the HTC, probably could have drawn even bigger crowds. (I didn't go to either ET b/c of Baseball practices/games and other personal things although I would love to join in) Also, what it seems like to me sometimes is that people do not join in on flying because no one else is flying. If there are 20+ people in session on a non-event night, pilots get excited and even more join the game. If we have <5 people in session and a Boston Centre online, not many people will join in to fly, even with the controller. It seems like this is a big part of the simulation experience; it's A LOT more fun to fly when Centre is talking a mile-a-minute to >10 aircraft then when it's you and one other VFR guy who is just flying around in circles. What might make sense to do is wait until this event become more established and more people join in, rather than expect everyone to jump on with the idea on the first try.
  9. Did you know that there was recent independent study in which pilots and controllers alike were asked which TRACON they preferred? Can you guess what they, the people, the pilots, the controllers and the community voted as their favourite? That's right! non other than New York! Of course, Boston still managed to skirt by with about half as many votes as New York. If you meant Boston, then surely this should change your mind! :D Index: Poll

    Event Proposal

Done. The next Pp after KLAS will be held on a Sunday night. But where? I'm already excited!
  12. He didn't even hit a regional jet?
  13. Because Evan knows that it will be busy and wants to actually have pilots actually fly while he's online?
  14. The point is we're all going to love hearing Brandon put on a British accent for the event.
