Hi Claude, Without screen shots or similar, and information on what error message you received, all I can do is guess and/or ask more questions. Did you use the hyphen ( - ) in your planned route? If so, I believe that may be the issue. The most common route from KBOS to CYUL is HYLND7 HYLND PBERG CARTR5. If you are not capable of flying that departure procedure and standard terminal arrival, your route could be as simple as HYLND PBERG There are lots of tools/resources out there to find good IFR routes in and around the US. One that I like is FlightAware's route analyzer at https://www.flightaware.com/statistics/ifr-route/ and the results for KBOS-CYUL can be found at https://www.flightaware.com/analysis/route.rvt?origin=kbos&destination=cyul In all cases, no need to file anything other than DPs, STARS, navaids, fixes and the space character. No hypens/dashes, etc. I hope this helps!
