Reported Trojan in P3D Download
« on: June 28, 2016, 10:15:56 am »

We were notified that an individual recently experienced an issue when upgrading from P3D Version 2.5 to Version 3. The download was reported to contain a dangerous virus, which executes commands from an attacker, and required the user to re-install Windows while losing a large amount of data in the process. The Trojan was reported to be named "Rundas!plock". We recommend that if you come across this file that you remove it immediately and report it to P3D.

There has only been one reported problem so far, therefore, it is not confirmed that the P3D download most definitely caused the issue. However, considering a user reported this negative experience, we wanted to notify and warn all P3D users to be cautious when updating.

Thank you,
